8 months DTE & 1 year Anniversary!

Today marks a very special day in our home!  We are celebrating 2 anniversary's.  1 year ago today we started the process to bring a special little girl into our family.  We are also celebrating our DTE (dossier to Ethiopia) date.  Our paperwork has been in Ethiopia, waiting for a match for 8 months.  Currently, our agency is estimating our timeframe at 9-11 months, waiting for a healthy infant girl referral.  

Where do we stand?  We estimate at best that we are in the "top 10" for an infant girl.  From our records (unofficial), we stand at # 8 for an infant girl up to 18 months and # 3 for an infant girl 18-24 months.  

We are anticipating the day when our call comes.   We have a plan in place (gotta have something to control).  

It is fun to guess when we think our referral will come.   But in reality, we haven't got a clue!!!

Thank you for standing with us in prayer and encouragement over the last year.  Please continue lifting us up as we continue the wait and hope to enter the next phase of this journey very soon.  

Moving on Down!

We are moving closer to receiving our referral!  WOO-HOO!!!!!

January was an AWESOME month for our agency.  I stopped counting at 15 precious children being matched with their forever family.

There are still some ongoing court issues but I am hopeful that God will sustain each family in the wait.    Please keep praying Saints!

So...were do we stand?

From my count (unofficial, of course!)

We are # 7 in the girl line but # 3 in girls from 18-24 months! 

I am excited but using much (restraint and caution) in seeing what February has in store for us.  There have been 2 infant girls referred and we are only on the 4th day of the month. 

As we come close to our 8th month in the wait--we are thankful that God has continued to show his  mercy and love.  May we continue to rest in his assurance and provision.

It is our desire that this entire journey be pleasing to our Lord and that He alone will be glorified.
